Team Leader
I started working for CQC in March 2025 and I was employed as a team leader which involves supporting the team, and supporting service users within their homes, and liaising with the management team to ensure the high standards of Cumbria Quality Care are achieved. ensuring that the service users’ needs are met and they live a rich fulfilled life.
I have 30 years of experience in health and social care and supporting adults with learning disabilities within their home’s, I have completed a vast amount of training courses within my role, and I have also completed level 2 in health and social care. I have a clear understanding of safeguarding, risk assessments and the ability to communicate effectively with service users, families and other professionals involved in their care package. I am currently enrolling in level 4 in health and social care.
What I find most rewarding about my job as a support worker is seeing the real day- to- day difference I can make to someone’s life. Sometimes it’s something big like helping a person build confidence or independence over time, but often it’s the small moments- seeing someone smile, achieve a goal they didn’t think was possible or simply feeling heard and supported.
I also really value the relationship you build being trusted to support someone through challenges, milestones and routines.
Out of work I love spending time with my family, baking with my daughter, walking our family dog, socialising with friends and watching films and TV show. I also love going to my sister and brother in laws house to visit their puppies.
