First Aid Awareness

This training develops our staff’s knowledge, understanding and practical skills to recognise and respond effectively to medical emergencies, ensuring they can provide appropriate first aid support when needed.

The training covers essential first aid principles, recognising signs of illness or injury, responding to emergencies, basic life support, and understanding when and how to seek additional medical assistance.

Staff also learn the importance of acting promptly, remaining calm, following appropriate procedures and providing reassurance while maintaining the dignity, safety and wellbeing of individuals.

First aid training forms an important part of our staff induction and ongoing professional development, ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and confidence to respond appropriately to emergencies when supporting individuals in their own homes.

Through this training, we promote safe working practices and ensure our staff understand their responsibilities in protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of everyone we support.
